Supports single items and prototype through-holes with irregular shapes. Processes shapes tailored to the counterpart parts using wire cutting.
We offer a contract processing service for non-standard through holes such as square holes, hexagonal holes, oval holes, polygonal holes, and D-shaped holes, starting from one piece, prototypes, and small lots. We consider processing special contours that combine straight lines, arcs, and notches, as well as holes with key grooves, using wire cut electrical discharge machining. Please consult us about the necessary shapes for fitting, stopping rotation, and positioning with respect to counterpart parts, including prototypes, jigs, mold components, and special parts for equipment. We will examine not only the dimensions of the holes but also their position and orientation from the reference surface, inner corner radii, surface roughness, plate thickness, and the state of heat treatment to determine the processing method. We can also discuss the processing of non-standard holes in parts after hardening. Please send us your drawings, CAD data, material specifications, quantities, and desired delivery dates. We will provide individual guidance on processing feasibility, estimates, and delivery times.

basic information
Processing method: Wire cut electrical discharge machining Target shapes: Square, rectangle, hexagon, polygon, oval, D-shape, holes with keyways, complex irregular holes Hole structure: Through holes are standard. A start hole for passing the wire is required for internal hole processing Quantity: Consultation available from 1 piece, prototypes, and small lots Applicable materials, plate thickness, and dimensional tolerances: Individual judgment based on drawings and requirements Verification items: Hole dimensions, position and orientation, machining standards, inner corner radius, surface roughness, heat treatment condition * An R will remain on the inner corners depending on the wire diameter, discharge gap, and processing conditions used. * For bottomed holes and stopped shapes, alternative processing methods such as shape cutting electrical discharge machining will be considered.
Price information
We will provide an individual estimate after reviewing the drawings and CAD data. Prices may vary depending on material, plate thickness, hole shape, dimensional tolerances, inner corner radius, quantity, and the condition of supplied items. Even for single-item processing, preparation steps such as program creation and setup are required.
Delivery Time
※We will confirm the drawings, quantities, condition of supplied items, and desired delivery date. If you are in a hurry, please let us know the required date and the date you can provide the materials and parts.
Applications/Examples of results
【Examples of Applications and Processing Consultations】 - Square holes and rectangular holes for inserting square-shaped parts - Hexagonal holes and polygonal holes used for preventing rotation and fitting - D-shaped holes to match D-cut shafts - Oval holes used for position adjustment and ensuring movement range - Processing to add key grooves inside round holes - Composite irregular holes combining straight lines, arcs, and notches - Production of one piece for assembly and fitting confirmation of prototypes - Single item and small lot processing of jigs, mold parts, and special components *The above are examples of applications and processing consultations. The feasibility of processing will be determined by checking material, plate thickness, shape, required precision, and other factors.
Detailed information
-

You can consult us about through holes with irregular shapes such as square, hexagonal, oval, D-shaped, and holes with key grooves, tailored to the counterpart parts and applications. In addition to the hole dimensions, we will check the position, orientation, inner corner radius, and plate thickness to consider the feasibility of processing. The illustration is an example of the shape and may omit details such as the inner corner radius.
Company information
Hansei Seiko Co., Ltd. is a precision metal processing company founded in 1948, based in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. We offer integrated processing services centered around wire cut electrical discharge machining, shape electrical discharge machining, and fine hole electrical discharge machining, as well as machining, polishing, finishing, and measurement. We welcome inquiries for precision parts, mold components, jigs, test pieces, and more, whether for single items, prototypes, or small lots. In addition to processing hardened steel, carbide, and stainless steel, we also handle contour machining of thick parts, key grooves, fine slits, and complex shapes. We confirm material, shape, required precision, and application, and consider processing conditions and processes. This reduces the burden of arranging multiple processing locations and supports part manufacturing. Based on the principle of "making according to the drawings," we conduct inspections and measurements in-house to confirm the finish before shipping. Based in Kobe and Hyogo, we accept processing inquiries and quotation requests from across the country. If you have parts you are struggling to process or drawings for which you would like to consider methods and processes, please feel free to consult with us. https://www.hansei.co.jp/
