We will conduct corrosion resistance evaluation tests for metals and surface treatments against saltwater using a salt spray testing machine.
This equipment conducts a salt spray test (SST) in which test specimens are exposed to an atmosphere continuously sprayed with a corrosive solution (sodium chloride aqueous solution). The salt spray test is one of the corrosion testing methods aimed at atmospheric corrosion, allowing for the evaluation of corrosion behavior that occurs over long periods to be compressed into a shorter time frame. The subjects of the test are metallic materials or surface-treated products such as plating or coatings, and the investigation includes the occurrence of corrosion, rust, discoloration, peeling, and blistering. 【Support for Various Testing Standards】 The applicable standards include ISO 9227, JIS Z 2371, JIS H 8502, etc. We primarily support the neutral salt spray test among salt spray tests, spraying a neutral 5% sodium chloride solution onto the test specimen under an atmosphere of 35±1℃. 【Testing with Suppressed pH Fluctuations】 The supply tank for the spraying solution is designed to suppress pH fluctuations. We also adopt the spray tower method recommended by ISO, which excels in uniformity of spray distribution. 【Support for Multiple and Large Test Specimens】 The internal dimensions of the test chamber are W1100×D600×H500 (mm), allowing for testing of multiple test specimens or large-sized parts. We can simultaneously test 60 samples of size 150×70×1mm. 【Support for Pre- and Post-Test Investigations】 We can conduct various evaluations such as cross-section polishing, observation, analysis, strength tests, peeling tests, and hardness tests to confirm the corrosion state before and after testing.
