The NK ring is a fixed seal (gasket) that completely encases O-rings made of fluororubber (Buna) or silicone rubber in a jacket of Teflon FEP or PFA, manufactured by the British company NES. By coating with fluororesin, it exhibits excellent chemical resistance and surface smoothness, with extremely low levels of impurity leaching. This makes it suitable for use in various fields, including semiconductor production lines where a clean environment is essential. Fluororubber, in particular, has outstanding oil resistance.
