Direct type internal pressure sensor, tip diameter φ4mm, model 6157C
6157CA,6157CB,6157CC,6157CD
The 6157C series internal pressure sensors are best-selling products used worldwide.
The crystal piezoelectric sensor 6157C series measures the in-mold pressure of plastic injection molding up to a maximum of 2.00 bar. Since there is no diaphragm at the tip, it can be processed up to 0.5 mm to match the shape of the mold's inner surface, and the connection cable is replaceable.

basic information
The tip diameter of the 6157C series is 4mm. The function of the O-ring is to seal the gap of less than 10 microns that occurs between the mounting hole and to align the sensor. When the tip of the sensor directly receives pressure within the mold and transmits it to the quartz element, a charge is generated that is accurately proportional to the pressure, and this charge is converted into voltage by a charge amplifier (sold separately). All parts are made of corrosion-resistant materials.

Applications/Examples of results
It is ideal for monitoring and controlling the injection molding of thermoplastic resins, elastomers, thermosetting resins, and SMC (both open and closed loop). For abrasive materials such as filled resins with glass or carbon fiber, thermosetting resins, and SMC, we recommend 6157CC... or 6157CD... with a hard coating on the tip.
