VR (Virtual Reality) has already entered the "implementation" stage after going through the phase of "expectation-led" emerging technology, and its utilization in the product development process of the manufacturing industry is progressing. Additionally, with the advancement of remote meetings due to the "new normal" and "work style reform," communication tends to become "sparse." Here, by utilizing VR and participating in a real-time immersive space from a remote location, we can expect to achieve "dense" communication instead. At the ESI LIVE XR Event 2021 held on October 6, 2021, Volvo Group Trucks showcased a case study of reforming the product development process aimed at zero prototypes using the VR solution IC.IDO provided by ESI Group, in a collaborative virtual workspace, including demonstrations.
