Sales of "ToffeeX," which supports the development and design of cooling structure components, have begun - Achieving reduced development time and improved product performance through thermal fluid analysis and topology optimization.

SCSK Corporation (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and Executive Officer: Takashi Toma, hereinafter referred to as SCSK) has concluded a general agency agreement for the cloud-based topology optimization software "ToffeeX" with ToffeeX Ltd (Headquarters: London, UK) and will begin sales on April 1, 2024. By utilizing advanced topology optimization technology, we will derive the shapes of components that maximize heat dissipation and minimize pressure loss in a short time, thereby achieving reduced development time and improved product performance. We aim to sell 50 units by March 2026, focusing on the manufacturing of components requiring thermal management and the product design field using 3D printing. *1 Analysis that clarifies how to arrange materials in the design space to achieve an optimal structure. *2 The energy lost by a fluid as it passes through pipes and other conduits.

ESI ProCAST Online Seminar: Improving the Casting Process through DX - Utilizing Simulation in Casting Thermal Stress Deformation -

Casting simulation has been on the market for a long time and has gained high trust in defect prediction such as flow and solidification. However, thermal stress remains a very important issue in manufacturing process considerations, yet it is still rare to find simulation tools that actively address this. Cases of dimensional non-conformance due to deformation often cannot be resolved through simple design considerations, and in the worst-case scenario, this can lead to significant rework, such as remaking molds, which is a challenging issue for designers. Furthermore, the recent trend towards lightweight products due to CO2 emission regulations has resulted in thinner and less rigid components, making stress-induced deformation even more difficult to control than before. The ProCAST that will be introduced in this seminar is a total solution for solving casting problems, and it has received very high evaluations, especially in stress analysis. During the seminar, we will present essential information and case studies necessary for tackling casting thermal stress simulation, including fundamental equations and material information. In particular, the case studies will provide valuable insights into handling the results obtained from simulations and measures against thermal stress deformation, serving as a reference for the practical application of casting thermal stress simulation. We encourage you to watch it.

[Blog] <Thorough Comparison> A Comparison and Explanation of Three 3D Electromagnetic Field Analysis Software: "ANSYS HFSS," "JMAG," and "CST Studio Suite"

In the manufacturing industry and advanced research (R&D), as the performance and miniaturization of products progress, the importance of accurately predicting the behavior of electromagnetic fields through "3D electromagnetic field analysis" has never been higher. However, even when we refer to electromagnetic field analysis, the optimal tools differ depending on the frequency range and the purpose of the analysis. This article focuses on three representative 3D electromagnetic field analysis software products that lead the industry: "JMAG," "Ansys HFSS," and "CST Studio Suite." It will provide a detailed explanation of each software's strengths, optimal applications, and how to choose a high-performance computing (HPC) environment that maximizes their capabilities.
