[Seminar Report] Lipid and Solvent Extraction - Weight Method Corresponding Solvent Extraction Device "Soxtec" Briefing Session
FOSS Japan recently held a web seminar on the solvent extraction device "Soxtec," which corresponds to the lipid and solvent extraction - weight method. Regarding the lipid content in food labeling standards notified on March 30, 2022, some amendments have been made to the analytical methods. As a result, a provision has been added allowing the use of automated analytical devices, enabling extraction that previously took a long time to be completed in about one hour (depending on conditions). Since FOSS Japan has been selling the automated solvent extraction device Soxtec 8000, which automates the solvent extraction process, we wanted to take this opportunity to introduce the potential of FOSS's solvent extraction devices, and thus we conducted this seminar. Thank you for your participation. During the seminar, we received many questions, and we felt the strong interest from everyone. In the future, FOSS Japan will continue to provide technical information and industry-related topics that will be useful to customers requiring analysis of food and feed.
