Adoption of @mobi for equipment inspection robots for superconducting linear trains.
Panasonic Advanced Technology Co., Ltd., Tokai Passenger Railway Company, and Suzuki Motor Corporation have developed a prototype of an equipment inspection robot (hereinafter referred to as "Minervα") that automatically conducts visual inspections to improve the efficiency of inspection and maintenance operations for various mechanical equipment supporting the operation of the superconducting linear train. This robot adopts the software package "@mobi" provided by Panasonic Advanced Technology Co., Ltd., making it the first in the railway industry to do so, and it is capable of autonomous movement. It is designed to safely navigate in narrow spaces autonomously. Furthermore, by incorporating robotic arm control functions and automatic charging capabilities, it automates the visual inspection process. In the future, it is expected that the equipment inspection robot will be deployed along the Linear Chuo Shinkansen line to conduct visual inspections automatically, thereby reducing the time, effort, and burden associated with personnel traveling to the site for inspections.

"3D scanning of a wide area just by walking around" - "Easy 3D Space Scanner @mapper" released.
We released the handheld 3D laser scanner "@mapper" on February 24, 2026, which can be used by anyone. The @mapper is a device that utilizes the SLAM technology developed through our autonomous mobile robot research, enabling high-precision 3D scanning with minimal blur and distortion, even without specialized knowledge. *SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) is a technology that allows machines or robots to estimate their current position while simultaneously creating a map of their surroundings using sensor information. ■ Easy Operation Equipped with our uniquely developed SLAM technology honed through autonomous movement on uneven terrain. It is resistant to vibrations, allowing even beginners to obtain stable scanning results without the need for expertise in surveying or 3D point clouds. ■ Wide Area Scanning Scanning is possible simply by walking around. The maximum reachable distance is 60m. It can measure large areas such as high-rise buildings and large factories in a short time. ■ On-Site Completion The acquired data is converted into a 3D point cloud in real-time. No post-processing is required, and it can be saved directly to a USB memory stick on-site. Since the measurement can be completed with just the on-site work, there is no need for revisits or additional measurements.

Press Release from Taiyo Techno Rex: Announcement of Participation in the 40th Internepcon Japan
Our company will exhibit at the "40th InterNepcon Japan" held at Tokyo Big Sight from January 21 (Wednesday) to January 23 (Friday), 2026, with the themes of "Experience," "High Density," and "Space." Here, you will not only be able to see a variety of FPCs (Flexible Printed Circuits) on display but also experience their features by directly touching them. Additionally, we will showcase high-density wiring FPCs with filled via structures, as announced in our October 27, 2025 publication on "Improving High-Density Wiring Formation Technology Using Pattern Via Fill Methods," and introduce the technical advantages and development status of FPCs for the space industry that are currently under development. In particular, for FPCs used in the space industry, which require extremely high reliability, we are advancing development with an eye on the standards set by organizations like JAXA, as they are expected to be used under the most severe environmental conditions, including extreme temperature changes, intense vibrations, gas release (outgassing) in a vacuum, and radiation. We will display prototypes that have undergone special material selection and structural design to achieve heat resistance and vibration resistance under harsh conditions. Please come to our booth to confirm the evolution of FPC technology and its potential that our company is pursuing.

Differences between AGV and AMR | The latest robot "ΣoneRobo" that automates transportation and tasks
Conventional AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) excel at safely transporting items to their destinations. However, with the rise of small-batch, diverse production, challenges such as the need to reconfigure settings every time the layout changes and the requirement for manual labor for subsequent tasks like "loading and unloading" or "assembly" hinder the optimization of production lines. In other words, automating only the transportation does not lead to an overall improvement in productivity at the site. This is where the "collaborative robot arm-equipped AGV," which integrates transportation and work, comes into focus. In this article, we will use Marble Inc.'s self-developed product "ΣoneRobo" as an example to organize the basic knowledge of AGVs and their differences from AMRs, while introducing methods to achieve both responsiveness to process changes and work accuracy, thereby realizing true optimization of production lines. Please use this as a reference to solve the "troubles" at the site.
