Biomass plastic blend OPP "Alphan GPP" adopted for packaging (bands) of natto and tofu.
We are pleased to announce that "Alphan GPP," a biomass plastic blended OPP developed by Prince Eftex Co., Ltd. (President: Hirokazu Yasui, Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo), has been adopted for the packaging (bands) of natto and tofu sold by the Green Coop Cooperative Federation (Representative Director: Yoshiko Hidaka, Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture). Alphan GPP is an OPP film blended with biomass plastic made from waste cooking oil derived from plant-based edible oils. By incorporating biomass plastic, it contributes to the conservation of petroleum resources and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The Green Coop Cooperative Federation aims to create a community where everyone can live with peace of mind and is engaged in the development of safe and secure products. In 2000, they formulated the "Green Coop Environmental Policy," based on which they actively participate in the 4R movement (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). Alphan GPP has been adopted for the packaging of natto and tofu made from domestically produced soybeans, aligning with the philosophy of this initiative. Our company will continue to advance the development of environmentally friendly products and contribute to a sustainable society.
