Taiyo Yuden has commercialized a high-voltage multilayer ceramic capacitor, the "XMK432 B7472KY" (4.5x3.2x2.0mm, X7R), with a rated voltage of 2000V. This product is used for lightning surge protection (Note 1) in base station communication devices and wireless LAN access point input/output sections, as well as for noise suppression applications in DC-DC converters for industrial equipment. For lightning surge protection, a high-voltage multilayer ceramic capacitor that can withstand high surge voltages caused by lightning strikes is required. Therefore, Taiyo Yuden optimized the materials and internal structure of the multilayer ceramic capacitor to achieve the rated voltage of 2000V with the "XMK432 B7472KY." ■Terminology Explanation (Note 1) Lightning Surge - A momentary high voltage caused by lightning strikes. Many electronic devices have connections to the outside, such as antennas and cables, and if appropriate lightning surge protection measures are not taken, high voltages can be transmitted through these connections into the device, potentially leading to damage.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the PSW-Y1 series, which adds logging functionality to our currently popular wide-range switching DC stabilized power supply PSW series. The PSW-Y1 series is a model equipped with logging functionality on the wide-range DC stabilized power supply PSW series. It can store output voltage, output current, and status information in internal buffer memory for up to 8000 data points at the fastest interval of 0.1 seconds. The logging function is particularly effective for tests that require long-term output monitoring, such as aging tests. Additionally, we have included a FAN On/Off function to temporarily stop the noise from the cooling fan. The power supply unit is available in three output capacities: 360W, 720W, and 1080W, and five maximum voltage types: 30V, 80V, 160V, 250V, and 800V, offering a total of 15 models to meet a wide range of applications.
