"Kinari" is a specialty product from the eastern part of Tottori Prefecture, made using 100% Inshu washi paper in the Akari-na Contract. It allows 34.2% of visible light to enter through the entire blind. The slats, which utilize the texture of Inshu washi, spread a warm light throughout the room. It harmonizes not only with traditional Japanese rooms but also with modern interiors and office spaces. Since the slats are made of resin, they generate very little radiant heat. It is recommended for windows with strong sunlight or when you want to create a calm atmosphere. It cuts 97.9% of harmful UV-A and UV-B rays that can cause sunburn and skin cancer. A comfortable indoor environment varies depending on location, purpose, and layout. Therefore, we have created custom-made blinds, Akari-na Contract, that can adapt to any environment. By using slats that transmit and diffuse light (Milky) and slats that reflect light (Reflect) within a single blind, we can control natural light according to the environment. For example, at eye level, we use Reflect to reduce glare and provide heat insulation, while the area closer to the ceiling uses Milky to let in light. This balances daylighting and heat insulation, addressing issues of "darkness," "heat," and "glare" all at once. A super high-rise intelligent office building located close to Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station. Due to excessive sunlight, heat insulation measures were a challenge. Therefore, we adopted Akari na C※ Reflect and Hybrid. The break area required a balance between heat insulation performance and design to create a calm space. Since Akari na C can be printed, we printed rustic wood patterns on the Reflect and arranged them randomly. The printed surface is so intricately designed that it looks like real wood at first glance, while the back remains the white color of the Reflect. As a result, from the outside, it appears to be standard white blinds, maintaining the overall design integrity of the building. ■ Installation Direction ■ All directions ■ Used Blinds ■ Reflect: Solar reflectance rate of 84.6%※. Akari-na C reduces lighting usage, enhances air conditioning efficiency to lower cooling costs, and is highly durable, thus reducing maintenance costs. The frequency of replacements is decreased, leading to a reduction in waste. Furthermore, the CO2 emissions during production are about half that of typical aluminum blinds.
