High heat-resistant shock-resistant ceramics [Can be used semi-permanently at 1000℃!]

The thermal expansion rate is almost zero, and it can be used semi-permanently at 1000°C! Ceramics with excellent thermal shock resistance.

"Aluminum titanate" is a high thermal shock-resistant ceramic with an almost zero thermal expansion rate, which prevents cracking even with temperature changes, allowing for semi-permanent use. It achieves cost reductions through reduced renewal investments and maintenance work in operations below approximately 1000°C, such as in aluminum casting sites. [Examples of Applications] ◎ Tongs and ladles (trivets) during aluminum casting ◎ Crucibles ◎ Plates (setters/lids) ◎ Trays (baskets/trays) [Features] ◆ Almost zero thermal expansion rate, preventing cracking and allowing for semi-permanent use ◆ Resistant to underwater drops from 1000°C [For more details, please download the catalog or feel free to contact us.]

[Application Example] Die Casting Equipment Parts High Strength Silicon Nitride

The die-casting machine parts use a fracture-resistant ceramic called "silicon nitride (SiN)."

Ceramics have excellent wear resistance compared to metals and are lightweight materials. Among them, silicon nitride ceramics are used in various industrial equipment due to their resistance to cracking and high mechanical strength at elevated temperatures. Our silicon nitride lineup includes standard type SNP02, high-strength type SNP03, and the newly added high-toughness type SNP04. For application examples, features, expected effects, and property tables, please refer to the catalog. If you have any concerns regarding equipment design, component design, thermal design, etc., please feel free to consult us.

[New Product] Silicon Carbide "Hexaloy SA" and Zirconia Reinforced Alumina

Silicon carbide "Hexaloy SA" with joining and mass production technology and zirconia-reinforced alumina "Halox Z" have been added to the lineup.

Our company has added "Hexaloy SA," which specializes in silicon carbide (SiC) and possesses mass production technology through bonding techniques and mold forming. Additionally, we have newly included "Halox Z," which is alumina reinforced with zirconia, expanding our options for problem-solving. ● Bonding Technology of Silicon Carbide "Hexaloy SA" By bonding silicon carbide together, it is possible to form internal flow paths and reduce the weight of components through hollowing. Compared to adhesive bonding, it excels in strength, reliability, thermal conductivity, and outgassing characteristics. ● Characteristics of Silicon Carbide 1. Minimal reduction in mechanical strength at high temperatures (above 1000°C) and excellent wear resistance. 2. Due to its strong covalent bonding, it is the hardest and most corrosion-resistant among fine ceramics, with good sliding properties in liquids. 3. Suitable for mechanical seals and bearings in chemical pumps. ● Zirconia Reinforced Alumina Halox Z We have reinforced the most popular alumina in fine ceramics with zirconia, a higher strength ceramic. It has high toughness and excellent wear resistance, and due to its higher thermal conductivity compared to zirconia, it is used for lining wear parts of equipment and the inner lining of grinders.

[Performance Introduction] Measures for Longevity Using Ceramics

By changing metal parts to ceramics, significant improvements in lifespan are expected. Here are some examples of improvements.

Ceramics are lightweight materials with excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance compared to metals, and their adoption is progressing for extending the lifespan of equipment parts and addressing wear issues. By replacing metal components of equipment with ceramics such as silicon carbide or silicon nitride, the lifespan of the parts is extended, significantly reducing maintenance work for part replacements. JFC offers a lineup of five types of silicon carbide and two types of silicon nitride. Silicon nitride SNP03 is a high-strength type with enhanced fracture toughness and bending strength compared to the standard SNP02. Please consider JFC's ceramics for the long lifespan of your equipment parts. *For more details, please download the catalog. Additionally, JFC also manufactures and sells composite materials made of ceramics and metals. For example, SA701, featured in the PDF materials, is a composite of SiC ceramics and aluminum. It is effective when a material that is resistant to cracking is required.
