We would like to introduce a case study of cushioning materials used for prisms in the optical field. Due to the inability to lend out physical products, we proposed a cushioning material design based solely on the external dimensions of the product. This time, since it is for overseas shipment rather than domestic, there were concerns about handling. Therefore, the key point was to ensure that the packaging materials had sufficient strength, using sturdy cardboard for the outer box. Additionally, we adopted double packaging that minimizes the risk of accidents from impacts or punctures without affecting the product. By conducting cushioning design, we ensured that even delicate products, such as optical components that are sensitive to shocks, can be safely shipped overseas.
