[Technical Recruitment] We are seeking technology to detect leaks in buried water pipes.
Non-destructive or minimally invasive technology is ideal! Solutions such as robotics are envisioned.
The Bureau of Reclamation of the U.S. Department of the Interior is seeking technology that can accurately detect the extent and location of leaks and other related defects in buried, operational water pipes while they are still underground. An ideal solution would be a non-destructive/low-intrusive technology capable of detecting damage regardless of the size and material of the water pipes, their lining, or the depth at which they are buried. If you are interested in this project, please feel free to contact us. 【Constraints】 ■ Detection Accuracy: Must accurately detect the location and severity of leaks in buried water pipes. ■ Applicable Materials: Must be applicable to various types of water pipes including metal, plastic, and composite materials. ■ Technology Validation: Must be able to demonstrate leak detection. ■ Robustness: - Must be capable of inspecting operational pipes with flowing and pressurized water. - Must accommodate complexities such as changes in pipe diameter, burial depth, and curved shapes. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
