The PITAT ultrasonic testing device for rebar joints is optimal for the new "Ultrasonic Testing Method and Evaluation Criteria (Draft) for Welded Parts of Deformed Bars in Reinforced Concrete" using the diagonal K scanning method. The PITAT rebar joint testing device has features such as: 1) Compact and lightweight: does not interfere with testing work in narrow spaces. 2) Workability: allows testing using various K scanning methods while keeping the probe set at the reference level. 3) Contact stability: significantly improves the contact stability of the probe. The PITAT rebar joint testing device is a user-friendly and excellent tool born from ideas generated on-site. The PITAT ultrasonic testing device for rebar joints can directly use conventional probes (manufactured by Inspection Technology Research Institute, Japan Probe, for USN-27A), making it easy to use and operate, specifically designed for ultrasonic testing of rebar joints. It can also be effectively used for conventional K scanning of rebar joints and measuring the expected amount of mechanical joints.
