A mandrel with excellent heat resistance, release properties, and cost-effectiveness.
"TPX (polymethylpentene)" is a resin that excels in transparency, heat resistance, and chemical resistance.
As a mandrel, it has a low surface tension of 24 dyne/cm, which contributes to excellent moldability and contamination resistance. Additionally, it has distinctive thermal properties, demonstrating superior heat aging resistance and steam (boiling water) resistance.
Leveraging these characteristics allows for a reduction in the rubber vulcanization process during the manufacturing of rubber hoses, leading to lower processing costs. Furthermore, its low water absorption rate ensures good dimensional accuracy of the mandrel, enabling the achievement of excellent inner diameter precision in rubber hoses.
In recent years, it has also gained attention as a mandrel for carbon products such as C-FRP, utilizing the aforementioned properties. While common equipment often results in numerous voids, our company has made it possible to minimize void occurrence with specialized production equipment.
