Generally, the wavelength range of 200 to 300 nm is classified as the Deep Ultra Violet (DUV) region, while wavelengths shorter than 200 nm are classified as the Vacuum Ultra Violet (VUV) region. The Vacuum Ultra Violet region is a wavelength range that is subject to absorption by oxygen and nitrogen molecules, making measurements in the atmosphere difficult. Therefore, we have prepared a system for the Vacuum Ultra Violet (VUV) region. The system can be installed in your vacuum chamber or glove box, allowing for transmission and absorbance measurements in the Vacuum Ultra Violet region. I believe many companies have traditionally used thermocouples and heat-sensitive wires for fire prediction measures, but with the recent trend of larger and more widespread factory equipment, the costs for wiring, installation, and maintenance after operation have often increased. Our system allows for extensive temperature measurement and monitoring by deploying a single optical fiber sensor with a diameter of a few millimeters over the measurement area. Conventional measuring devices often require electricity for measurement, which can necessitate explosion-proof measures in some cases; however, by using optical fibers, it is possible to implement a fundamentally safe solution. Recently, with the liberalization of electricity, there has been significant attention on our system for abnormal monitoring applications in fuel transport equipment associated with the construction of power plants. In addition to the commonly envisioned linear fibers, we also utilize specialized sensors through custom processing to accommodate various applications, such as temperature measurement in confined spaces or over short spans. Of course, it is also possible to build monitoring systems that repurpose existing fibers. Our technology is utilized for monitoring in places like joint trenches and underground facilities, which are typically inaccessible to people, thereby contributing to the safety of on-site workers.
