Before: End mills are not used for micro-machining. When machining difficult materials such as titanium, end mills wear out quickly, leading to poor tool life and increased tool costs. Additionally, managing dimensional accuracy becomes challenging due to tool wear, and there are cases where the dimensions at the base of features like bosses or blind holes become unstable. Particularly for parts that require high precision machining, frequent tool changes become necessary, resulting in significantly higher costs. After: Ball end mills are used for micro-machining. By incorporating an R shape at the base of the product within the design limits, machining accuracy can be stabilized.
