We would like to report the measurement results of cutting tools processed with our precision shot peening "OX-FSP." According to a technical report from Company T, it has been confirmed that the lifespan of cutting tools has improved by more than 1.5 times, resulting in reduced costs. Additionally, it contributes to cost reduction due to the improved lifespan of welded tips and the lifespan enhancement from cutter OX treatment. [Discussion] - It is believed that after regrinding the cutting tools and processing them, the "rake face" and "clearance face" are strengthened, resulting in reduced wear. - The burrs on the regrinded surface are removed through processing, improving surface roughness, which facilitates smoother chip flow and works towards reducing wear.
