Our external diameter polishing machines are mainly used in the final finishing and super finishing processes of various shafts for automotive parts, contributing to improved roughness and stable process capability values. 【Applications】 ◆ Balancer shafts ◆ Input/output shafts ◆ Compressor shafts ◆ Turbocharger shafts ◆ Medical devices, etc. The polishing capability of film polishing is said to be able to achieve a roughness that is approximately half of the previous roughness per process. For example, it is possible to reduce the roughness of a shaft with a previous roughness of Rz=1.6μm to below Rz=0.8μm in 15 seconds (see diagram). Additionally, since film polishing is a contour-following process, it can improve roughness without altering the original shape.
