"Shaving processing" is a method that involves re-shaving the sheared edges created by punching with a shear mold to obtain a smooth and highly accurate cross-section. The effect of shaving processing is that the less the allowance (cutting allowance), the lower the risk of cracks occurring on the shear surface. Additionally, the processing force required for shaving is determined by the material, circumference, and allowance (cutting allowance) of the workpiece rather than the plate thickness, allowing for processing with much smaller forces compared to conventional shearing.
