[NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Hospital #H
New leaks after installation are completely prevented! Costs can be reduced to less than one-tenth, extending the building's lifespan!
At Hospital #H, which was built 48 years ago, the air conditioning chilled and warm water piping using galvanized steel pipes (SGP) has experienced significant deterioration due to red rust, leading to leaks. Therefore, a red rust prevention piping extension device, the "NMR Pipe Protector," was installed. Before installation, a sample of the circulating chilled and warm water was taken, revealing a total iron concentration of 2.5 mg/l, indicating that red rust corrosion was progressing within the piping. Four weeks after the installation of the product, a subsequent water sample showed a significant reduction in total iron concentration to 0.4 mg/l. A water sample taken six years after installation showed an even further reduction to 0.2 mg/l, confirming that the progression of new red rust within the chilled water piping had completely stopped. The existing red rust had transformed into an insoluble, passive black rust with a volume reduced to one-tenth.
