Stainless steel + plate wood screw
Stainless steel + plate wood screw
It is a screw with a flat top and a conical-shaped seating surface. It is used when you do not want the head of the screw to protrude. Wood screws do not have threads near the head, allowing for tight fastening of boards to posts or other wood materials, making them suitable for securing wood. It is necessary to chamfer the material being fastened. A pilot hole about 70% of the screw's diameter should be drilled, and then it can be tightened with a screwdriver. This is a wood screw made by Okitsu Spiral, certified by JIS. Unlike tapping screws, about two-thirds of its total length is threaded. Since the screw threads do not engage with the material sandwiched in between, the clamping force is increased, preventing backout and wobbling. It has a stronger holding power than tapping screws.
