The "Stripping Tower / Absorption Tower" is an ammonia treatment facility designed to separate and recover ammonia from wastewater containing ammonia (including salts). Operation is fully controlled by an automatic sequence, with complete unmanned operation except for the button operation to stop the system. The lower part of the absorption tower functions as a barometric condenser, circulating and cooling the absorbed ammonia water, and concentrating the ammonia/water vapor that exits from the top of the stripping tower. At Kawasaki Sankou Kasei Co., Ltd., guidance was received from Shiga Prefecture, and a request for consideration was made to a certain famous wastewater treatment manufacturer. However, due to the need for a vast installation area with the coagulation sedimentation method, along with a large amount of sludge generation and construction costs amounting to several tens of millions of yen, they abandoned the idea. As a result, they introduced a TerraSt filling tower, which is mixed with active aluminum ions, where antimony co-sediments with the active aluminum ions.
