With Coat-X technology, it can also accommodate biocompatibility!

Coat-X from Switzerland offers a PPX coating that excels in biocompatibility! It is not only waterproof and moisture-resistant but also suitable for various environments.

A coating that differs from the usual PPX coating developed by the Swiss company Coat-X SA using proprietary technology! Our PPX coating can protect items from various external factors such as waterproofing, water resistance, humidity resistance, biocompatibility, insulation, and heat resistance. This time, we would like to introduce a real case being worked on in Switzerland. Coat-X SA has obtained ISO13485 certification and has strengths in handling medical devices. At the Swiss company Rheon Medical, we applied a coating to neodymium magnets required for devices that are attached to the eyeball. This device is designed to maintain intraocular pressure constant through the liquid in the eye. You can see more details from the link below! https://rheonmedical.com/products/eyewatch/ We applied a multilayer coating of this PPX coating to the neodymium magnets to protect them from corrosion and improve biocompatibility. This magnet is used to return the device to its original position in case of displacement. As you can see, actual medical applications are being implemented, and we hope to contribute to future developments in Japan as well.

Celtis DLC Coating [Superior adhesion and wear resistance compared to conventional methods!]

A new composite multilayer DLC coating with superior adhesion and wear resistance has arrived! It enhances the lifespan of sliding components, precision molds, and tools!

The Celtes DLC is a next-generation composite multilayer DLC coating produced by a hybrid process of Plasma Booster Sputtering (PBS) and Plasma CVD. By adopting a new plasma source, it can be deposited at lower temperatures (below 180°C) than before, significantly improving the durability of molds and parts compared to conventional DLC. With a high adhesion 3-5 micron DLC coating, it can also be applied to tool steel molds and SUJ/SCM steel parts that have previously been unsuitable due to insufficient adhesion at high surface pressures. 【Features】 - In the Fabry (Falex) seizure test, it achieved a seizure load limit of up to 2000 kgf under non-lubricated conditions and over 2500 kgf under lubricated conditions. - Compared to other companies' composite multilayer DLCs, the damage to the coating after the Fabry test is minimal, and it does not peel off even when the base material becomes red-hot and undergoes plastic flow. *For more details, please request documentation or view the PDF data available for download.

Hydrogen-free DLC coating with excellent high hardness and wear resistance [Materials available].

Achieve high hardness, strong adhesion, and excellent wear resistance with room temperature film formation! DLC coating is possible for plastics and ceramics.

The hydrogen-free DLC coating (ta-C) produced by our unique FCVA film formation technology differs from existing PVD and CVD methods by removing impurities through an electromagnetic filter, resulting in fewer particles, excellent adhesion, and high wear resistance. Additionally, since it is a room temperature film formation process, it can be applied to low melting point materials such as plastics and rubber, as well as various materials like ceramics. Furthermore, it is possible to create thick films of over 10 micrometers, enhancing the quality and longevity of automotive parts, thereby increasing added value. This technology improves wear resistance for resin and ceramic materials and extends the lifespan of automotive components, achieving functional enhancements across various fields. 【Features】 ■ High hardness film free of particles (droplets) ■ Capable of film formation on various materials, including low melting point materials like resin and rubber, as well as ceramics ■ Improved wear resistance for sliding components ■ Capable of creating thick films over 10 micrometers ■ High corrosion resistance against gases such as ozone and NOx We are currently offering explanatory materials summarizing basic knowledge about coating technology and our unique FCVA film formation technology! *For more details, please download the catalog or feel free to contact us.

Conductive Diamond Coating [*Video Available*]

Would you like to try depositing diamonds? We support everything from prototyping to mass production! We have also started selling standard conductive diamond electrodes.

Diamond is an insulator, but it can acquire conductivity by doping with boron. We will uniformly deposit conductive diamond over a large area while maintaining the chemical stability and strength of diamond. Diamond electrodes have a wide potential window, allowing for the decomposition and synthesis of difficult-to-decompose substances through oxidation and reduction reactions. By electrolyzing tap water with diamond electrodes, it is possible to directly produce high-concentration ozone water. Additionally, our unique pre-treatment for film formation improves the adhesion of the diamond film. *For more details, please contact us or download and view the catalog.

Vacuum deposition method

We can handle over 50 types of thin film coatings, even from just one piece! Leave thin film formation to us!

A thin film, referred to as "hakumaku" or "usumaku," generally refers to a coating (film) with a thickness at the nano level. Thin films are formed by evaporating or sputtering the material (such as metal) that is to be made into a film within a vacuum apparatus. **"Vacuum Deposition Method"** The vacuum deposition method is a technique where the material (such as metal) intended for the film is heated and evaporated in a vacuum, allowing the vapor (particles) to reach the target object and accumulate to form a film. The vacuum deposition method is characterized by the fact that the vaporized material reaches the target object directly, resulting in minimal damage to the object and the formation of a highly pure film. Toho Kaken Co., Ltd. offers contract processing services for functional thin films with properties such as conductivity, insulation, and corrosion resistance using ion plating, vacuum deposition, P-CVD, and sputtering. We accommodate various functional thin films from prototyping to production. Based on our 35 years of experience, we offer flexible responses to film types, film thickness, deposition conditions, and compatible substrates (materials, sizes, shapes), and we also support masking deposition and pattern formation using metal masks. Please feel free to consult with us.
