The customer contacted us requesting to borrow a "Broady Disk Mini" because the crushed material was getting stuck in the hopper. Since the hopper in question was a small rectangular hopper, we prepared and sent four units of the Broady Disk Mini "BD-08S type" for the customer to try out. There was a viewing window on one side of the hopper, so after installing one Broady Disk Mini on each of the two opposing sides of the remaining three sides and testing it, it was concluded that while there was an effect, it would be even better to install one on the last side as well. We would like to introduce a case where a user experiencing significant issues with the discharge of titanium oxide reached out to us. The size of the hopper in question is 500×500, and if the flowability of the powder is quite poor, it is generally recommended to use at least four blow discs (standard type: BD-15). Initially, four BD-20 type blow discs were adopted, and aeration was performed manually under various conditions. As a result, it was determined that it is preferable to sequentially turn on the air for each of the four blow discs with a time delay, and a controller (with four built-in solenoid valves) was adopted for this purpose. 【Key Points of This Equipment】 ■ The elastic disc (silicone) is very important in terms of strength and durability, especially considering the risk of foreign material contamination. We received an inquiry regarding a φ1500 resin chip tank, where fine powder adheres to the cylindrical part above the material input level and the upper lid. When this powder grows and suddenly falls, it causes issues in subsequent processes, so they would like to try a blow disk. The user's request was to 'install a few as a test on a part of the upper lid,' but since the conditions are worse in the cylindrical part, we recommended installing a few there for testing. As a result, it was determined that there was no longer any growth of adhesion at the installation site, which was deemed satisfactory. The measures for the shelf suspension of incineration ash have been adopted. We received contact from the customer stating, "The hopper's slope is 45° and is too gentle, causing bridging." As a countermeasure, they had already decided to modify the hopper (by adding steel plates to create a steep slope), but they also expressed a desire to add our equipment in line with this. Since it was mentioned that the incineration ash had a high moisture content, we provided a proposal for installation considering this.
