What is the difference between oil and coal?

What is the difference between oil and coal?

This time, I will introduce the differences between oil and coal as basic knowledge. Energy can be classified into two categories: primary energy and secondary energy. Primary energy refers to energy that is supplied in its unprocessed state. On the other hand, secondary energy refers to energy obtained by converting or processing primary energy. Oil and coal are included in fossil fuels, which are a type of primary energy. Please take a look, and if you have any questions, feel free to consult with us at Equal!

[Case Study] The Frontlines of Alternative Energy

Technology that converts coal into liquid fuel contributes to China, which relies on imported oil.

Introducing "The Frontline of Alternative Energy" in Alpha Laval International Magazine No. 33. Through ICTL technology that generates high-quality fuel from coal, China has the potential to break free from its dependence on oil and improve its energy security. China's booming economy heavily relies on imported crude oil, making it vulnerable to price fluctuations and the influence of foreign suppliers. To overcome this dependence, the Chinese government is making large-scale investments in alternative energy sources and is quickly becoming a leader in this field. [Case Studies] - ICTL technology that generates high-quality fuel from coal - Breaking free from oil dependence and improving energy security - Large-scale investments in alternative energy sources to overcome dependence For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Oil business (waste oil recycling and collection)

Recycle waste oil into energy! This is a project that regenerates used cooking oil into biofuel.

Oil conversion refers to a type of alternative fuel made by refining used cooking oil (such as vegetable oils, rapeseed oil, soybean oil, etc.), and it is classified as renewable energy. K's Ecology Technical contributes to the development of a low-carbon society with minimal environmental impact through its oil conversion (biodiesel fuel) business from the perspective of environmental conservation. Biodiesel does not add new carbon dioxide to the atmosphere during combustion, unlike fossil fuels, thus helping to prevent global warming and also contributing to waste reduction through recycling. 【Features】 ○ Recycling used oil into energy ○ Collecting cooking oil and regenerating it through oil conversion ○ Oil conversion is an environmentally friendly recycled fuel ○ Collecting used cooking oil For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Is the stove you bought at home defective? A story about pellet fuel and clinker.

Introduction to pellet fuel and clinker formation! We also accept inquiries about test combustion.

Recently, I tried burning all-wood pellets primarily made from cedar wood in a stove, and I observed the formation of a noticeable "clinker (fused ash)," so I would like to share this experience. The pellets I tested this time are classified as "all-wood pellets," and their appearance is quite different from "white pellets" even before combustion. When I burned these pellets in our EDILKAMIN POINT for a full day (about 9 hours), a large clump of ash remained in the combustion pot, resembling a biscuit. Since pellet stoves are heating appliances that you interact with daily, I think it’s best to try out several types of pellet fuel while paying attention to factors like "availability" and "heat output," and choose the one that feels the most suitable for you. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Utilization of Rice Husk Heat in the 'KoCona System' for a Decarbonized Society

Utilization of small-scale distributed rice husk heat: "KoCona System" - A guide to a decarbonized and sustainable society built by agricultural innovation.

Rasa Industries has established a technology to crush "rice husks" into powder at low cost and in large quantities, as well as an energy utilization technology that burns the crushed material as fuel in a dedicated hot water generation device, providing a heat source for facilities such as hot spring baths and greenhouses. While it will be used as a crushed fuel, by manufacturing it at a lower cost than fossil fuels, it offers benefits to the heat utilization side, increases the calorific value of the rice husks themselves, homogenizes the fuel, and improves storage and transportation efficiency. Additionally, by burning and cooling it instantly, it does not generate crystalline silica (cristobalite). With the active movement towards expanding SDG investments, climate change measures, and environmental considerations as criteria for transaction selection, efforts for regional decarbonization are becoming a necessary condition. ◆ "Struggling with the disposal and use of rice husks" ◆ "Wanting a heat source to produce hot water for launching decarbonization projects" ◆ "Considering regional energy circulation within the community," etc. "Heat" ⇒ Supplied through the "Rice Husk Heat Utilization KoCona System" "Electricity" ⇒ Self-generated through solar power, wind power, etc. (excluding biomass) We aim to save Japanese agriculture, support community development in addition to energy demand, and contribute to the establishment of a Japanese version of "Stadtwerke."

[Seminar] Biojet Fuel from Plant Oils that Do Not Compete with Food

J-Oil Mills, Inc. Efforts Toward Building a Supply Chain Model and Future Prospects

Our company will hold a seminar titled "J-Oil Mills, Inc.: Efforts and Future Prospects for Building a Biojet Fuel Supply Chain Model Utilizing Plant Oils and Fats That Do Not Compete with Food." In order to build a future SAF supply chain in our country, we are focusing on non-food competing oilseed plant materials as a response to the major challenge of raw material procurement. We are considering an SAF supply scheme utilizing our oil extraction and refining technology as part of a NEDO grant project. In collaboration with the national government, Okinawa Prefectural Government, and companies and academia both within and outside the prefecture, we are demonstrating that SAF can be produced using oils extracted from non-edible oilseed crops grown in Okinawa Prefecture, and we are developing oil extraction and refining technologies for non-edible oilseed crops to improve SAF yields. At the same time, challenges related to SAF production in Japan and the utilization of underutilized resources have also become apparent, so we will provide detailed explanations of the direction for addressing these challenges in collaboration with government agencies and others in the future. [Seminar Details] ■ Date and Time: July 19 (Friday) 13:30 - 15:30 (Doors open at 13:00) ■ Speaker: J-Oil Mills, Inc. Director, Senior Executive Officer CTO Mr. Eizo Matsumoto *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

CO2 emissions reduction! Biodiesel fuel Euglena Corporation Susteo 51

Existing infrastructure can be used as is for drop-in fuel. A next step towards achieving carbon neutrality and GX.

Susteo 51 is a diesel alternative fuel that is made by mixing 51% biofuel (HVO: Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) using "sustainable biomass materials" that do not compete with food or lead to deforestation with regular diesel. Susteo 51 meets diesel standards and can be used in diesel engine vehicles on public roads, just like regular diesel. By absorbing CO2 emitted from each life cycle process during the growth of the plants that serve as raw materials for this product, it contributes to carbon neutrality and GX (Green Transformation). Product Name: Euglena Corporation [Susteo 51] Packaging: DM drum (200L), delivered by tank truck *Nationwide delivery available Quality: - Meets regular diesel standards (JIS standards) and is identical to regular diesel. - Mixing with regular diesel in the tank is not an issue. Quotes are available. Please feel free to contact us.
