The 3D images captured using expensive equipment have primarily been viewed on monitors or in printed materials. However, by creating models, we can expand the use cases for presentations, research presentations, exhibitions, education, advertising, and more, as well as newly utilize existing 3D images for various applications, which is expected to have a ripple effect across the entire field of 3D imaging. Composed of about 100 parts! Introducing a case where it was produced as a model one-third the size of the actual object.

Here is an example of a Styrofoam model of a classic car that we created. We manufactured a model of a car from the time our company was founded in 1927, at a scale of 1/3 of the actual size. Each part of the miniature model was scanned individually using an ATOS (non-contact optical 3D measuring device), and the acquired data was used to cut the Styrofoam for the model. Here is an example of a polystyrene model of a Galápagos giant tortoise that was created. The Galápagos giant tortoise, which collaborated in technology and materials for the "Yokohama Triennale 2017 - Islands, Constellations, and Galápagos," was displayed in front of the "Lighthouse of Wind" on the 3rd floor of Landmark Plaza in Yokohama City. This model of the Galápagos giant tortoise was completed by applying a hard polyurethane coating to the polystyrene and painting it with water-based paint.
