What is insert molding?

Utilize a vertical molding machine that allows for stable molding without the dropping of insert parts set within the mold!

We would like to introduce our strength in "insert molding" using vertical molding machines. This is a type of injection molding where a mesh or similar material is set in the mold, and plastic is filled in to bond with the plastic. Compared to adhesive bonding, the bonding strength is higher. We can handle everything from mold manufacturing to prototyping and mass production. 【Features】 ■ Higher bonding strength compared to adhesive bonding ■ Stable molding is possible without the risk of insert parts falling out of the mold ■ Capable of producing thousands of filters in a single day ■ The newly introduced molding machine has a capacity of 80 tons, allowing for a wide range of products ■ We can handle everything from mold manufacturing to prototyping and mass production *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Light forming: Molding thermoplastic resin without a mold.

No mold required. We manufacture thermoplastic resin products with short lead times, accommodating everything from experimentation and evaluation of prototypes to small-scale production.

Traditionally, molding thermoplastic resins required the production of molds, and 3D printers faced challenges such as layering weaknesses and limited materials. However, light molding using silicone rubber molds allows for the molding of thermoplastic resins without the need for expensive molds, achieving significant cost reduction and time savings. It enables quick and low-cost responses from prototypes to final products.

Light forming

It is used for high-performance prototypes such as high-performance models and practical prototype models!

"Light molding" is a technology for shaping actual models of thermoplastic resins using silicone rubber molds. Production materials for mass molding are made into fine particles, filled into the silicone mold, and while being vacuum compressed, are heated and melted by near-infrared light irradiated from the outside, passing through the silicone rubber mold, to form the fine particle materials placed inside the mold. Prototypes using mass production molding materials can be created without molds during the development and design phase, and small lot production can also be achieved through light molding for small production items. This eliminates the need for expensive molds, resulting in significant cost reduction and shortened timeframes. **Features** - Actual models of thermoplastic resins are shaped using silicone rubber molds, eliminating the need for molds. - Actual models with the same performance as real products can be manufactured quickly and inexpensively through injection molding. - Allows molding with the desired grade of thermoplastic resin. - Supports small lot production of various types. Suitable for variable variations and frequent deliveries. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.*

What is vacuum forming and pressure forming?

Create molded products by cooling a heated and softened sheet while it is deformed under vacuum pressure!

Vacuum forming is a method of processing sheets of thermoplastic resin, where a heated and softened sheet is deformed under vacuum pressure and then cooled to create molded products. In the case of pressure forming, the difference lies in sealing the area around the mold and covering it with a frame to blow in compressed air for pressure forming, but fundamentally, the molding method remains the same. Please feel free to contact us when you need our services. 【Features】 ■ Cooling while deforming the heated and softened sheet under vacuum pressure *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Plastic molding method

From injection molding to vacuum forming! Introducing the diverse technologies held by Araki Plastic Industry!

At Araki Plastic Industry, we have plastic molding technology that can accommodate various materials and applications. "Injection molding" is a popular molding method that involves filling a mold with molten plastic, which is heated inside a screw, and then solidifying it through cooling or heating. Additionally, there are widely used molding methods for thermosetting resins, such as "compression molding" and "vacuum molding," which shapes the material by removing air from inside and closely adhering it to the mold. 【Main Molding Methods】 ■ Injection Molding ■ Compression Molding ■ Extrusion Molding ■ Blow Molding ■ Vacuum Molding *For more details, please refer to our catalog or feel free to contact us.

Procurement of PVC and suggestions for alternative materials.

Real-time material procurement at our overseas factory! Introducing recommended alternatives to PVC!

There is a continued shortage of inexpensive, insulating, durable, and chemically resistant general-purpose PVC material. The background includes factors such as the "expansion of demand for semiconductor factories," the "increased demand for insulation materials for wires and cables," and the "anticipated increase in demand for cables for offshore wind power generation." These factors are not expected to be resolved quickly, and a further shortage of PVC is anticipated in the future. In response, we are conducting real-time material procurement at our overseas factories and offering alternative materials in Japan. Please feel free to contact us if you need assistance. **Reasons for the PVC Shortage** - Expansion of demand for semiconductor factories - Revitalization of the housing market in the U.S. due to large-scale monetary easing - Increased demand in Japan primarily for construction materials such as pipes - Expansion of demand for insulation materials for wires and cables - Expansion of infrastructure development for high-speed communication standard "5G" - Anticipated increase in demand for cables for offshore wind power generation *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Polycarbonate transparent molded products

Numerous achievements in transparent polycarbonate molded products!

"Polycarbonate transparent molded products" are molded items for appearance purposes, ranging from relatively large items used in rotating lights to small ones. While it may seem simple at first glance, it requires more stringent techniques than standard molded products, as issues such as welds, cloudiness around the gate, and defects resembling record marks can occur during molding. To address such problems, it is necessary to propose shapes that minimize risks and to design molds accordingly. Additionally, technology that can provide specific conditions is also required. [Features] - Molded products for appearance purposes - Increased freedom of shape - Proposals for shapes that reduce risks and mold design are possible *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
