Mechanical components require precise 3D modeling because the accuracy of their shape and surface treatment directly affects product performance. spScan easily reproduces solid shapes based on point cloud data from non-contact scanning. Introducing the compression and recovery characteristics of the HELICOFLEX® series!

We would like to introduce the compression and recovery characteristics of our HELICOFLEX® series. The compression recovery of the HELICOFLEX series features a gently flattening compression curve. The recovery curve takes a different shape than the compression curve. This is the result of two permanent deformations (the elastic deformation of the spring and the plastic deformation of the outer casing). Each value is determined by the allowable leakage amount and the selection of materials. "O-FLEX TM" is a metal O-ring with a cross-sectional diameter and wall thickness that takes into account the design tightening pressure (Y value). It can be manufactured for both internal and external pressure, and rectangular shapes are also available. We introduce C-rings with sections and thicknesses that take into account compressive loads.

The sealing concept of "C-FLEX TM" is the elastic deformation of a metal seal with a C-shaped cross-section. It is compensated by the internal pressure of the equipment to accommodate low design tightening pressure and uneven surfaces of the flange.
