We would like to introduce a case study regarding the introduction of a wood biomass boiler at Shoji Lumber Mill, Kamabuchi Factory. By converting a large amount of cedar bark (tree bark) generated in-house into boiler fuel for energy and drying wood, we are utilizing forests as a "circular resource," aiming to reduce CO2 emissions and effectively utilize waste. This has become a model case for using bark as fuel, with biomass boilers installed at three locations: Kanayama Factory, Kamabuchi Factory, and Mamurogawa Factory.
