Reproduction furniture focused on the quality and price of E-comfort.
The Pelican Chair is a work designed by Finn Juhl when he was 25 years old in 1940. At the time of its release, it was referred to by a furniture number, but it was named "Pelican Chair" because its shape resembles a pelican spreading its wings. It features a unique form that envelops the sitter with its arms. The seat is well-cushioned, allowing for a slightly reclined position that provides a moment of comfort and relaxation. His works, created by an architect who did not possess furniture-making skills, were sometimes harshly criticized at the time for their structure that ignored ergonomics and their unique design. However, the aesthetic sense he developed from viewing art since childhood and the incorporation of excellent sculptural forms into his designs gradually began to be appreciated, earning him the title of "furniture sculptor." He is also said to be one of the individuals who brought Danish furniture to the world's attention. Even in modern times, the beauty of its unique form, unbound by conventional ideas, continues to radiate its presence without fading.
