Clad metal refers to a material that is formed by applying pressure to roll together the surface of one metal and the surface of another metal (usually a different type of metal).

Since it is possible to join dissimilar metals, we can create functions that cannot be obtained from a single metal. For example, by rolling together a metal with a high coefficient of thermal expansion and a metal with a low coefficient, we can induce thermal deformation in the metal. This principle is applied in thermostat bimetals. Additionally, it is also possible to create combinations of materials that have improved corrosion resistance. It is a heat exchanger for hydrogen compressors that applies the technology of the heat exchanger H2C (pre-cooler) designed for hydrogen stations. Its rectangular shape makes it easy to install and contributes to space-saving.
