Low-frequency electromagnetic wave shielding compatible nickel-iron alloy plating.

Nickel-iron alloy plating that can block low-frequency electromagnetic waves, which are difficult to shield with copper and aluminum.

Currently, not only electric vehicles (EVs) and eEVs but also gasoline vehicles are equipped with various electronic devices such as car navigation systems, ETC systems, and drive recorders. These electronic devices can experience malfunctions or failures due to electromagnetic noise generated by various electrical products and electronic devices. Low-frequency electromagnetic waves, which are easily generated by motors, pose a challenge as they are difficult to shield with electromagnetic wave shielding materials like copper and aluminum. Our company has newly developed an electroplating additive that excels in bath stability and achieves a stable alloy ratio over a wide current density for use in shielding layers against low-frequency electromagnetic waves, as well as an electroless plating solution that provides a uniform film thickness with a stable coating composition.

Tin-lead alloy plating

Optimal for high-temperature lead-free solder materials! Achieved mass production of gold-tin alloy plating, reducing wafer loss costs!

Gold-tin alloy plating shows a eutectic point with a composition of gold 80: tin 20, and a melting point of 280°C. 【Points】 - Gold-tin alloy plating does not expose the wafer to high temperatures during the process, preventing thermal degradation. - It allows for control of film thickness and enables thin film formation (with a proven 33% cost reduction). - The alloy ratio can be changed arbitrarily, resulting in a wide range of coating compositions (with a proven range of Au 70 to 90 wt%). - Plating on fine patterns is possible. - It has good oxidation resistance and solderability, enabling highly reliable bonding. - There are few voids and impurities, and no flux is needed, so cleaning after reflow is unnecessary. We welcome any questions or consultations. Please feel free to contact us.

High reflectivity gold plating

Successfully conducted experiments aboard the NASA Space Shuttle!

Among glossy metals, silver plating is considered to have good reflection across a wide range of wavelengths. However, silver plating tarnishes quickly in the air. To solve this problem, Mitsuya developed high-reflective gold plating. Compared to our conventional gold plating, the reflectivity has improved by 4-6%. High-reflective gold plating is widely used in various applications, such as: - Marking on wafers during semiconductor manufacturing processes - Pulse laser welding - Laser cutting machines Astronaut Koichi Wakata conducted experiments to create alloys using an imaging furnace installed on NASA's Space Shuttle. The reflective mirror of this imaging furnace uses the high-reflective gold plating developed by Mitsuya. This mirror is the most critical component for the imaging furnace.

Gold plating

Gold plating suitable for a core that requires absolute functionality and quality.

Gold, known for its exceptional corrosion resistance and beautiful luster, is commonly used for decorative plating; however, at Highgent, we handle functional plating for connectors and other components. As the most stable metal, it contributes to core functions in safety devices such as automotive airbags, where reliable safety is essential, as well as in throttle control systems. Its advantages include low contact resistance and good bonding properties, while its disadvantages include high material costs (solution: partial plating). The specifications for materials that can be gold-plated are as follows: Material: copper, copper alloys, SUS, 42 alloy; Size: thickness 0.1 to 0.8 mm, width 10 to 60 mm; Base layer: copper, nickel; Composite plating: two-color plating with Sn and RSn. Proposal for Cost Reduction through Zinc-Nickel Alloy Plating by Takamura Industrial Co., Ltd.

We propose cost reduction from the overall perspective of product manufacturing costs using surface treatment.

We aim to create competitive products by reducing total manufacturing costs without compromising current specifications. We will eliminate the disadvantages of existing materials and surface treatments. With zinc-nickel alloy plating, the processing temperature is around 20°C, which eliminates the risk of deformation due to heat in thin sheet products. Since it is electroplating, there is no sagging of the plating film, ensuring a uniform coating. Due to its thin film, gauge quality is high, and thickness can be managed widely from 3 to 12 μm to match specifications and products. We achieve short lead times equivalent to zinc plating, and masking is unnecessary. The thin film also stabilizes gauge quality, demonstrating high corrosion resistance across the entire product perimeter, and by including 15% nickel, surface hardness is increased. It maintains strength even under repeated fitting. We recommend using inexpensive steel plates as the material. Dramatic cost reductions are achieved with zinc-nickel alloy plating!! Using steel plates improves workability and increases productivity!! For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.

Gold plating

Introduction to gold plating, which is widely used in decorative items and electronic components.

Takagi Metal specializes in processing using advanced plating technology. We accept plating processing for materials of all sizes, from complex shapes to fine parts, and even for crafts that are several meters long. Gold plating can be done in alkaline, neutral, acidic, and sulfite baths, with various types of plating baths selected according to their applications. Gold plating is characterized by its excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, solderability, and minimal changes in contact resistance over time. Therefore, it is widely used in decorative items and electronic components. When using gold plating for contacts, the issue often arises not from the corrosion of the gold plating itself, but from contamination of the surface or deterioration of the surface condition due to the corrosion of the underlying metal. In such cases, metals similar in properties to gold, such as palladium, are plated onto the underlying metal. Additionally, when high corrosion resistance is required, a sealing treatment is performed as a post-processing step. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Technical Information: The Surprisingly Little-Known "Electrolytic Zinc Alloy Plating"

[Presentation of Materials] Excellent corrosion resistance and high rust prevention capability! Introducing the surprisingly lesser-known electric tin-zinc alloy plating.

"Electrolytic tin-zinc alloy plating" is used in automotive and aircraft parts due to its excellent corrosion resistance and high rust prevention capability, compared to conventional zinc plating. Single-layer zinc plating faces the issue of rapid wear of the coating, but tin-zinc plating has a smaller potential difference with iron, resulting in a slower progression of corrosion and achieving corrosion resistance. If you are concerned about corrosion resistance and rust prevention, please feel free to consult us. 【Features】 ■ Excellent corrosion resistance and high rust prevention capability ■ Used in automotive and aircraft parts ■ Tin-zinc plating has a smaller potential difference with iron ■ Slower progression of corrosion, achieving corrosion resistance *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
