Options for protein preparation separation: Presentation of technical documentation for HIC columns.
Please obtain the materials regarding the detection of impurities in monoclonal antibodies using hydrophobic interaction chromatography from "PDF Download."
In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) columns for the analysis of protein formulations. Unlike reverse phase liquid chromatography, which denatures proteins and effectively destroys their original structure, HIC preserves the native structure and biological activity of proteins, making it useful for downstream functional analyses such as binding and cell-level potency assays. The MAbPac HIC-10 LC column and MAbPac HIC-20 column are HIC columns with wide-pore silica particles featuring patented alkylamide groups, suitable for the separation of oxidized and deamidated variants of protein formulations. The MAbPac HIC-Butyl column is an HIC column that binds butyl groups to a hydrophilic polymer matrix at an appropriate density, which helps reduce sample adsorption to the filler and suppress carryover, making it suitable for the analysis of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). You can view examples of analyses using our HIC columns by downloading the PDF.
