[Issues and Factory Improvement Case] Heat Mitigation Measures (Heat Shielding) for the Factory Warehouse Roof and West Wall

An example where the temperature under the roof was 51°C in the unconstructed area, and a difference of 22°C was achieved in the constructed area, which was 29°C.

We would like to introduce an example of heat mitigation improvements for the factory warehouse roof and west wall. "There was a challenge of heat accumulating inside the building during the summer, making it uncomfortable for workers, and we wanted to implement heat mitigation measures." To address this, we installed high-performance aluminum heat-shielding sheets on the roof and walls with the image of making the entire building extremely shaded, preventing solar radiation heat from entering the interior. As a result, the temperature under the roof in the untreated area was 51°C, while in the treated area it was 29°C, achieving a difference of 22°C. [Case Study] ■ Challenge: Heat accumulates inside the building during the summer, making it uncomfortable for workers (wanting to implement heat mitigation measures) ■ Solution: Installed high-performance aluminum heat-shielding sheets on the roof and walls to prevent solar radiation heat from entering the interior (with the image of making the entire building extremely shaded) *If the roof is high, it may be difficult to feel the effects of heat shielding by only applying it under the roof. In this case, applying heat shielding to the walls (especially the sunny west and south walls) will enhance the heat shielding effect. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Heat Shielding Furnace: Examples of Heat Mitigation and Energy Saving Improvements

Case study of heat countermeasures and energy saving achieved in a painting drying furnace (using city gas) - Surface radiation temperature decreased by 100°C!

We will introduce improvements in heat countermeasures and energy-saving examples for paint drying ovens. "There is a problem where the indoor temperature in summer is hot, and we want to implement heat countermeasures. We also want to save on fuel." This was the challenge we faced. As a solution, we applied high-temperature heat-insulating sheets to the paint drying oven. (The installation was carried out by the customer.) As a result, the surface radiation temperature of the oven was reduced from 130°C to 30°C, achieving a decrease of 100°C. By reducing the radiant heat loss from the oven surface, fuel savings were also achieved. Furthermore, the internal temperature of the oven increased by 20°C during winter, leading to improved productivity! [Case Study] ■ Challenge: The surface of the paint drying oven is at a high temperature, making it uncomfortable for workers (want to implement heat countermeasures). ■ Countermeasure: Installed high-performance aluminum heat-insulating sheets on the oven surface to cut radiant heat. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Heat insulation sheet

Comfortable, economical, and a great deal! Significant energy and cost savings achieved.

The "heat insulation sheet method" cuts 98% of the radiant heat passing through the building. By implementing heat insulation, the perceived temperature changes significantly, making it less uncomfortable even at 30°C indoors, and during winter, it reduces the sensation of cold even at low temperatures, dramatically lowering the air conditioning costs for heating and cooling systems. The heat insulation effect is semi-permanent, and unlike heat insulation paint or thermal insulation coatings, there is no need for repainting, which also leads to a reduction in ongoing maintenance costs. 【Examples of Installation】 ■ Factories (corrugated roofs, slate) ■ Large buildings (department stores, warehouses) ■ Facilities (kindergartens, nurseries, welfare facilities, hospitals) ■ Apartments and condominiums ■ Construction sites, temporary offices *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

The difference between insulation materials and heat-shielding sheets.

Keep your indoor space comfortable! Here we introduce the differences between "insulation materials" and "heat shielding sheets."

Here is an introduction to the differences between "insulation materials" and "heat shielding sheets." "Insulation materials" only slow down the speed of heat transfer, and the heat that is stored will eventually be radiated. "Heat shielding sheets," on the other hand, reflect radiant heat and do not store heat, so they do not radiate heat into the interior. As a result, in summer, they reflect (block) the hot heat from outside and keep the interior comfortable. [Differences] ■ Insulation Materials - Only slow down the speed of heat transfer - Stored heat will eventually be radiated ■ Heat Shielding Sheets - Reflect radiant heat and do not store heat - Do not radiate heat into the interior *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Three Principles of Heat Transfer

If you're considering measures against heat, it's important to find ways to reduce radiant heat!

The three principles of heat transfer are "convective heat," "conductive heat," and "radiative heat." However, most of the heat transfer within a building is "radiative heat." When considering measures against heat, it is important to suppress radiative heat. Our product, "Prox Thermal Insulation Sheet," mitigates the heat inside the building by blocking heat from the sun and machinery with the sheet. 【Three Principles of Heat Transfer】 ■ Convective Heat ■ Conductive Heat ■ Radiative Heat *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
