We provide a reliable total solution from sample pretreatment to measurement and analysis, blank contamination avoidance measures, and support.
PFAS has excellent chemical properties such as water and oil repellency and surfactant characteristics, and is used in a wide range of fields. On the other hand, due to its persistence and bioaccumulation, numerous cases of PFAS detection in water quality, the environment, and food have been reported both domestically and internationally. As a result, countries are advancing regulations and monitoring efforts, and there is a demand for more sensitive and accurate measurement technologies. In Japan, a ministerial ordinance was announced to raise the water quality standards for "PFOS" and "PFOA," which will take effect in April 2026. Waters is focusing on developing methods for trace analysis of PFAS in various samples. In addition to providing analytical instruments, we offer insights on sample preparation and blank contamination prevention, as well as equipment service and support, along with consulting services tailored to analytical needs.
