The Techno motion controller is primarily a standalone type that does not require a PC. For example, the one-board motion controller (SLM8000) can be used as an NC simply by powering on the main unit (board). This means it can be used with processing machines even without a PC. However, for instance, the data output from CAD/CAM may be expected to be large in size. ======= If we consider the command time for one instruction (linear interpolation) to be 0.1 seconds and the processing time to be 10 hours (36,000 seconds), the number of commands would be 360,000. Assuming one command is 64 bytes, the operating program would be approximately 22 MB. ======= In such cases, it is not possible to store all G-code programs in the memory of the motion controller. Therefore, DNC is used.
