Servo actuator with built-in absolute encoder that does not require battery (rechargeable battery) backup.
Servo actuators equipped with absolute encoders solve the following problems in automatic machines and manufacturing lines:
- The origin return operation cannot be structurally performed each time the power is turned on.
- The positional accuracy of the origin changes each time.
- There is a desire to omit the origin return operation.
If the absolute encoder is of the battery-less type, the following problems are also solved:
- Recovery of the device takes time due to battery depletion.
- Managing regular battery replacements and the replacement work is cumbersome.
- There may be long periods without power, or the battery may not last due to infrequent use.
Wittenstein Ternary's servo actuators are equipped with battery-less multi-turn absolute encoders. They also feature built-in servo amplifiers, achieving reduced wiring and space-saving. In addition to standalone motors, there is a lineup that includes rod cylinders, sliders, and those with planetary gears. Furthermore, options such as holding brakes, waterproof types, and stainless steel specifications are available, offering a unique lineup not found elsewhere.
