Introduction to "Filter and Filter Material Particle Collection Efficiency Testing"

Evaluation of dust collection filters, filter media collection efficiency, retention capacity, and pressure loss based on JIS standards.

At the Institute of Living Science, we are equipped with filter and filtration material testing devices that comply with both old and new JIS standards, allowing us to measure collection efficiency, retention capacity, pressure loss, and other parameters necessary for filter and filtration material development. The "collection efficiency measurement" can determine the collection efficiency for specific particle sizes based on the performance of the filter being tested, following JIS testing methods. By also measuring collection efficiency by particle size, we can provide useful performance data for filter development. Furthermore, by specifying the final pressure loss, we can determine the dust retention capacity of the filter. 【Test Items】 ■ Type 1: Particle collection efficiency (0.3μm), pressure loss ■ Type 2: Particle collection efficiency (by particle size), test dust supply amount, pressure loss, collection efficiency after charging ■ Type 3: Particle collection efficiency (mass method), test dust supply amount, pressure loss ■ Type 4: Particle collection efficiency (0.5 to 1.0μm), ozone generation amount, pressure loss *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Technical Data: Imaging Measurement by Infrared Spectroscopic Analysis

Examples of infrared spectroscopy for identifying chemical substances such as plastics, paints, and surfactants are presented.

Our company is engaged in the analysis solution business. This document presents case studies of imaging measurements using infrared spectroscopy. Infrared spectroscopy (IR) is an analytical method that identifies chemical substances such as plastics, paints, and surfactants from the patterns of spectra obtained by irradiating a sample with infrared light. The IR imaging system focuses on the characteristic chemical structures of chemical substances and visualizes the distribution of those substances through imaging. [Contents] ■ Overview ■ Analysis Cases - Material evaluation of printed plastic areas - Composition evaluation of multilayer materials *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Quality Control 3D Data Link

We would like to introduce our quality management that continues to maintain stable manufacturing and quality!

At our company, we utilize 3D data in the casting process to conduct visually understandable quality management for our customers. During the design phase, which is the entry point of manufacturing, we use 3D CAD data and flow solidification analysis software to assess the potential for internal defects based on the product shape. This helps reduce the number of prototypes and leads to shorter manufacturing lead times. Additionally, at the product stage, which is the exit point of manufacturing, we perform 3D scanning of the products, allowing for a visually clear comparison of shape differences with the 3D CAD data. 【3D Data Link】 ■ Customer's 3D CAD data ■ Flow solidification simulation ■ 3D scanner *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Evaluation of the Utility of Forward Scattering Raman Spectroscopy: Application Edition

Case study of pharmaceutical analysis using forward scattering (transmission) Raman spectroscopy.

In the analysis of pharmaceutical tablets and capsules, it can be difficult to easily obtain information about the physical state and components of the active pharmaceutical ingredient inside the tablet or capsule due to interference from the tablet coating or capsule material. In this study, commercially available coated drugs and capsules filled with active pharmaceutical ingredients of different raw materials were used as model formulations. By employing forward scattering (transmission) Raman spectroscopy, we demonstrate that it is possible to reduce surface interference caused by the coating of the tablet or capsule and analyze and evaluate the components.

[O-PTIR] PTIR detection method submicron infrared spectroscopy

Infrared spectroscopy is a method for obtaining information about molecular structure by measuring the infrared absorption due to molecular vibrations.

O-PTIR has the following features: - It allows for spectral and image measurements in small areas due to its spatial resolution (maximum spatial resolution: less than 1μm). - No need for thin sectioning (effective for samples that are difficult to thin section, such as foreign materials). - Measurements can generally be performed non-destructively. - Similar analyses can be performed using the FT-IR library.
