Robot & IoT/DX Special Feature MONO Creation Communication Issue 59

We are featuring and introducing automation by robots, remote monitoring through IoT, and paperless solutions through DX.

This book is the 59th issue of MONO-zukuri Tsushin, published monthly by Yashima Sangyo. This time, we focus on automation, IoT, and DX. 1. Robots Universal Robots, a multi-axis robot capable of collaborating with humans, and the MiR transport robot. 2. Traceability The Italian-made electric screwdriver "Fiam," which allows for the management of not only torque but also rotation angle through current control. NEXTAGE has adopted an AI-based automated appearance inspection application!

The humanoid collaborative robot "NEXTAGE" has been adopted for an automated appearance inspection application powered by AI provided by Kanematsu Corporation!

In recent years, to realize the automation of "visual inspection," which has been requested by many industries and companies, Kanematsu Corporation has started providing visual inspection services using the AI-based image inspection service "AIPENET." Among these, the humanoid robot "NEXTAGE," known for its high versatility in performing tasks related to visual inspection, has been adopted as a robot to carry out the preceding and subsequent tasks, creating an application that automates both visual inspection and related tasks in one go. Kanematsu Corporation offers a subscription plan called "Marugoto Subscription Plan," which provides the necessary AI (visual inspection service) and hardware (robot) for the entire automation process of visual inspection in a bundled subscription format, significantly reducing initial costs and allowing for immediate operational deployment. Furthermore, Kanematsu Corporation is currently running a limited-time free PoC campaign for "AIPENET." Please feel free to consult with us during this opportunity. <By automating visual inspection, we solve the following issues!> - Quality is unstable due to operator errors - Reliance on operators' intuition and skills - Difficulty in securing operators - Time-consuming training for operators
