Cross-sectional observation of automotive bumper paint film.

It is possible to confirm the cross-sectional structure and elemental distribution without damaging fine structures such as grain separation!

We would like to introduce our "Cross-sectional Observation of Automotive Bumper Coating Films." The coating film of automotive bumpers has a multi-layer structure using several types of paint. In general mechanical polishing for cross-sectional observation, issues such as the detachment of added fine particles occur, making it difficult to confirm the correct structure. By using the ion milling method (Ar+ ion beam) for processing, we can observe the cross-sectional structure and elemental distribution without damaging the fine structures such as detachment. 【Features】 ■ SEM observation allows for clear confirmation of the multi-layer structure of the coating film and the added fine particles. ■ By combining elemental analysis, we can clearly confirm the distribution of each added particle. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Hydrogen annealing evaluation by temperature-programmed desorption gas analysis (TDS)

You can check the gas components released from the Ta board and the desorption temperature of hydrogen!

As part of the widely used "hydrogen annealing evaluation" in semiconductor manufacturing, we present a case measured using TDS (Thermal Desorption Spectroscopy). By performing mass spectrometry while heating in a vacuum, we were able to confirm the desorbed gas components from the Ta plate and the desorption temperature of hydrogen. Additionally, by mass analyzing the desorbed gases, we can identify the types of gases and understand the desorption behavior of specific components. [Case Overview] - Heating desorption gas profile from the sample - Identification of desorbed gas species and comparison of desorbed gas amounts through mass spectrometry (m/z = 1 to 199) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Evaluation method for suppressing biofilm formation on substrates

Material development is underway to suppress the formation of biofilms!

We would like to introduce our "Biofilm Formation Suppression Evaluation Method on Substrates," which is part of our biofilm-related analysis. To evaluate the suppression of biofilm formation, the substrate is first immersed in a bacterial culture solution to allow biofilm formation. The formed biofilm is then stained with crystal violet (CV), after which the CV is extracted with an extraction solution, and the absorbance is measured. This is compared to the biofilm formation amount on a standard substrate. 【Analysis Method】 1. Immerse the substrate in a bacterial culture solution and incubate at a constant temperature for 24 to 48 hours. 2. Rinse the substrate with water and stain the formed biofilm with crystal violet. 3. Extract the crystal violet and measure the absorbance at 590 nm. 4. Compare with the biofilm formation amount on the standard substrate. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Evaluation method for the destruction and removal of biofilms.

Development of agents to effectively destroy and remove biofilms is underway!

We would like to introduce our "Evaluation Method for the Destruction and Removal Effects of Biofilms," which is part of the biofilm-related analysis we conduct. When evaluating the function of cleaning agents that destroy and remove formed biofilms, we generally use a 96-well plate to allow biofilms to form on each well. The biofilms are then immersed in the cleaning agent for a specified period, and the amount of biofilm removal is compared against sterilized water (or sterilized buffer, etc.) as a control. 【Analysis Method】 1. Immerse the substrate or pins in a bacterial culture solution and incubate at a constant temperature for 24 to 48 hours to allow biofilm formation on the substrate or pins. 2. After immersing the substrate or pins in the biofilm cleaning agent for a specified time, rinse with water. 3. Stain the substrate or pins with crystal violet. 4. Extract the crystal violet and measure the absorbance at 590 nm. 5. Compare the biofilm amounts between the control and the samples. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Inhibition activity analysis

We are also conducting inhibitory activity analysis for enzymes not listed on our homepage!

We would like to introduce the "Inhibition Activity Analysis" conducted by Dojin Glocal Co., Ltd. To analyze the inhibition activity against an enzyme, the concentration of the inhibitor that inhibits 50% of a certain enzyme reaction under specific conditions is defined as one unit. For example, when evaluating an inhibitor against amylase, inhibitors of varying concentrations are added, and the concentration of the inhibitor that reduces the amount of reducing sugars produced by amylase by half is determined. [Examples of Enzyme Activity Analysis] ■ Various enzyme activity analyses of extracts and raw materials ■ Enzyme activity analysis during processing of food materials (powders, solutions, solids, etc.) ■ Activity analysis of functional components (enzyme activity, inhibition activity, antioxidant capacity, etc.) ■ International unit representation of enzyme activity such as lipase *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Evaluation of biofilms using mixed bacteria

We also conduct evaluations under conditions that are more suited to the actual usage environment!

We would like to introduce our "Biofilm Evaluation Using Mixed Bacteria." Typically, to measure the anti-biofilm activity of agents or treatment substrates, biofilm formation is conducted using specific strains such as Staphylococcus epidermidis or Pseudomonas aeruginosa, cultured on media used for each bacterium. However, if you want to evaluate the effectiveness in a specific environment, it is also possible to use biofilms formed from bacteria collected from that environment. At our company, we conduct biofilm formation experiments using microbial communities collected from sinks and bathtubs, allowing for evaluations under conditions that are more relevant to the environments in which they will be used. Please feel free to contact us for more details. [Features] ■ If you want to evaluate effectiveness in a specific environment, it is possible to use biofilms formed from bacteria collected from that environment. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Enzyme activity analysis <Protease activity>

Measure the activity of non-selective proteases such as acidic proteases and neutral proteases!

We would like to introduce our "Enzyme Activity Analysis <Protease Activity>". A common method for measuring low-selectivity protease activity involves adding the extracted enzyme solution to a milk casein substrate solution and conducting the enzymatic reaction at a precise temperature and time. After that, a reaction stopping solution is added to precipitate the undecomposed proteins, and the decomposed amino acids are separated. The activity that shows the color corresponding to the amount of tyrosine produced under each condition of enzymatic action is defined as protease activity. [Analysis Examples] ■ Grains ■ Fermented Foods ■ Functional Foods *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
