While copper is the next candidate due to its processability and price in terms of thermal conductivity, the oxidation scale that occurs at high temperatures poses problems for heat dissipation and contamination. We have now applied nickel plating to copper substrates and conducted our specialty treatment to prevent high-temperature oxidation scale with a transparent coating. This allows the thermal conductivity of copper to remain intact while making it usable at temperatures up to 900°C in air. Concerns about the environmental impact of fluorinated compounds have led to the search for alternatives. Among these, we present a product that does not contain fluorinated compounds and is a water-based coating made from the thermoplastic resin PEEK. It offers non-stick properties, slip resistance, surface enhancement, and chemical resistance as a fluorine alternative. We conducted chemical resistance tests with varying concentrations of sulfuric acid, applying the coating to SUS304 bolts, demonstrating chemical resistance, including at the edges.
