Sayama Mold Manufacturing designs and builds precision micro molds and carries out injection molding and volume production in-house. Because both mold making and molding are under one roof, we can propose the optimal part geometry from a mold engineer's point of view - not merely a shape that happens to be moldable. We supply manufacturers in Japan and overseas in the medical device, biomedical, optical communication, semiconductor and connector fields. We handle micro parts that require accuracy on the order of ±1 μm, and mold super engineering plastics and other difficult materials stably, which helps reduce defects and shorten lead times in volume production. Business Activities
An engineering company with both mold making and molding in-house 1. Design and manufacture of precision micro injection molds Machining to the ±1 μm class. Experience with fine geometries such as microfluidic chips (0.1 mm wide, 0.15 mm deep, 520 holes) and Φ1.4 mm precision gears. Multi-cavity molds are also available to bring down piece-part cost in volume production. 2. Volume production of precision micro molded parts From commodity plastics to engineering plastics, super engineering plastics such as PEEK, and MIM. Insert molding is also available. We propose mold structures that cut secondary operations, such as our gate-cut system. 3. Bridging development and prototyping to mass production We convert machined prototypes into molds and molded parts designed for volume production, advising from the mold side from the geometry and material selection stage onward.
