Estimating the user's level of comfort and deriving appropriate interactions. We will introduce a case study of an Adaptive HMI system that was researched and developed. We developed a machine learning model to estimate the user's level of comfort based on body movements and pupil changes. We researched and developed an HMI system that changes interactions according to the user's situation, as well as software that visualizes the judgments of the machine learning model. When switching from autonomous driving mode to manual driving mode, the interaction that conveys the surrounding situation intelligently switches according to the driver's level of comfort. We would like to introduce a case where we were responsible for the system planning, UI design, machine learning model, and application development of a system that estimates the "transience of the mind" from digital pen and biometric data. Focusing on drawing trees, we analyzed the collected data in real-time to estimate the transience of the mind and reflected it on the drawn tree. We collected pen data and biometric data to analyze the various ways of drawing trees, organizing common patterns, rare patterns, pen movements, and color usage. By combining the state of the canvas, user behavior, and biometric data, we developed a model to estimate how efficient or inefficient yet creative the user's behavior is, thereby estimating the transience of the mind. We would like to introduce a case where we collaborated with Kyocera Corporation to develop the GUI and software for Kyocera's envisioned future concept car, "Moeye." Our company was responsible for the development and implementation of control software that enables the integrated control of multiple devices provided by the company, the UI design of the dashboard expected to deliver visual effects, and the GUI software that coordinates the operation of multiple devices connected to the in-car network. We collaboratively developed various software based on the concept and requirements proposed by the company, creating a rich sensory mobile space for the era of autonomous driving. We would like to introduce a case where we developed the software for the karaoke search terminal "JOYPad Kyokunavi" (JR-P2000) in collaboration with the planning team of Exing Co., Ltd. SD Tech was involved from the conceptual stage of the device, comprehensively handling functional proposals, requirements definition, UI/UX design, design specification considerations, software specification considerations, implementation, and evaluation. We would like to introduce a case study where we exhibited a system that infers the relationship between individuals and groups from digital pen data in collaboration with Wacom Co., Ltd. At "Connected Ink 2020," now in its third year, we created a more abstract artwork themed around the interactions between individuals and groups. We would like to introduce a case study of the design and development of a product introduction website in collaboration with Nidec Machine Tool Corporation. In this website, we engaged in discussions while considering the purpose and positioning of the site, as well as envisioning how users would grow through the site. We defined user requirements, created wireframes, and conducted design considerations and development. We proposed a simple and dynamic tile design, along with interactions that deepen users' understanding of the products and lead to actions such as requesting materials, which were adopted. We would like to introduce a case where we collaborated with Ofa Support Co., Ltd. to develop the "Driving Skills Test" support system "SefoMo." By adopting our "TRITO Comperio" (a toolkit for building systems utilizing machine learning) and integrating it with the company's efforts and know-how for evaluating and improving driving skills, we implemented "UX/UI development" for the "Driving Skills Test," "AI development" for assessing driving skills, and "system development" to support the service. We would like to introduce a case of technical demo development aimed at clearly presenting the scope of our "Design Engineering" services and the design-to-development process. Focusing on the risk of heatstroke for elderly individuals living alone, we developed a technical demo with the concept of "monitoring" by understanding changes in the environment, rather than through video surveillance, while considering privacy protection and respect for personal life. In the upstream design phase, we created personas and scenarios based on an elderly person living alone and their son living separately, and established requirements for a simple demonstration. [Case Overview] ■ Using a Raspberry Pi and LCD display as a management monitor inside the home, we can measure the indoor temperature, humidity, and the surface body temperature of individuals, and store the measurement data on a server. ■ Assuming that the sensors detect a person inside the home at risk of heatstroke, we can experience alerts sent to a smartphone when the temperature exceeds a user-defined threshold, as well as emergency contacts and remote air conditioning control from the smartphone. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

We would like to introduce a case study of the development of a tablet application and UI/UX design for the service "e-Concierge" provided by Nippon Telenet Corporation. The company was seeking an application development firm that could collaborate with Nippon Telenet, server/conversational engine development companies, and terminal development companies for implementation experiments, enabling the establishment of usability and system concepts. As a result, we coordinated discussions with the relevant parties and constructed specifications/designs that could be realized from upstream design to implementation processes. Furthermore, in the upstream design phase, we aimed to create an application that is easy to understand and use for the elderly by considering their cognitive and physical characteristics in the screen design and visual design. We would like to introduce a case of technical demo development aimed at clearly presenting the scope of the "Design Engineering" services provided by SD Tech, as well as the design-to-development process. Focusing on the increasing prevalence of sleep disorders in recent years, we are challenging ourselves to create solutions that gently guide users into a comfortable "sleep" and "awakening" by creating an immersive space. In the upstream design phase, we set up experience scenarios that evoke the persona of a certain IT designer's lifestyle and preferences, as well as the usage situation of the demo. We would like to introduce a case where we jointly developed a new learning support service for Z-kai Co., Ltd. to promote digital transformation (DX) in the education field, leveraging our long-standing collaboration with Wacom Co., Ltd. There was a need for a feature that allows students to search for terms they find concerning or do not understand during their studies, so that their learning would not be interrupted. With the introduction of "Manabi Search Chienowa," students can instantly access the terms they want to look up or the materials they wish to reference while studying. Classic motorcycles have limitations in information display and connected integration, and there are technical challenges remaining in visibility, operability, and customization. From the perspective of UX design, we have worked on creating a prototype that rethinks meter design to address user needs. ◼︎ UX Design - Connected Neo-Classic Meter: A round design that integrates the latest information display with connected services. - Analog-Digital Meter: Changes functionality and design according to the riding mode. - UX Mode: Switches experiences that enrich motorcycle life, such as "travel, weather, adventure, music." - Quick Access Button: A touch panel with layouts tailored to different scenes. - Digital Customization: Switches between dark/light themes. ◼︎ Prototype Structure Implemented UI designs and screen transitions considered in Figma using Unity, creating a realistic experience that includes hardware switches and touch panel operations. ◼︎ NEXT STEP In collaboration with Lester Corporation, we are working on the fusion of technology and UX design aimed at improving operability by utilizing TouchNetix's capacitive touch IC and Lester's patented technology in touch panels.
