Business Activities
This is a domestic BaaS (Backend as a Service) solution that fully supports OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect. ■ Implementation and management are overwhelmingly simple: All the necessary functions for implementing an authorization server and OpenID provider are defined as Web APIs and provided to customers. This eliminates the need for customers to prepare an authorization database, significantly reducing the implementation workload. After implementation, server configuration management can be done from the console, and it is updated regularly in line with specification updates, making operations easy. ■ Focused on authorization: To publish APIs, mechanisms such as API management, ID management, authentication, and authorization are required. However, Authlete has a unique architecture focused on authorization, allowing it to be combined with any API management, ID management, and authentication solutions. It can be used in conjunction with existing in-house authentication systems and API Gateways. ■ Designed with multiple service implementation in mind: Many existing services require a separate authorization server/OpenID provider for each service, but with Authlete, centralized management is possible.
