Through thermal mapping (multi-point temperature measurement), users can identify areas of the battery that generate larger amounts of thermal energy, which are highlighted. In addition to characterizing the thermal behavior of battery cells at various temperatures and (discharge) charge rates, this information can be used to develop effective and targeted thermal management strategies within battery modules and packs.
