Setsuro Tech Inc. is a biotech startup that originated from Tokushima University and was founded in 2017. The company's mission is to “create an industry that solves problems for both you and the planet by harnessing the potential power of living organisms”. In 2015, Tatsuya Takemoto (Chairman & CTO) and his team at the University of Tokushima developed a method for easily and efficiently producing genome-edited mice (JP 6980218). In addition, Shun Sawatsubashi (CSO) and his team at the University of Tokushima developed the VIKING method for high-efficiency genome editing in cultured cells (JP 6956995). Additionally, Setsuro Tech Inc. has developed its own proprietary RNA-guided nuclease, ST9.5 (JP 7662138). Our company provides innovative genome editing technology and contributes to the further development of the industry, people's health, and wellbeing. We use proprietary technologies to offer contract genome editing services to researchers in academia and industry. Our goal is to provide genome-edited organisms to a wide range of industries and to advance the genome editing industry.
