In every industry, controlling noise is an area that constantly requires evolution. Reducing annoying noise as part of environmental improvement is one of the significant themes. Since its establishment in Australia in 1972, the Acoustic Thermal Division of Pyrotech has been engaged in the development of innovative products. Its high technical capabilities and certified quality recognized by public institutions are acknowledged worldwide, and its products are used in various fields, including construction areas such as buildings and factories, as well as vehicles like railways and automobiles, and in ships and offshore plants.

The SNIF system is an inline refining device that combines a stator (fixed part) and a spinning nozzle (rotor) to efficiently inject processing gas into the molten metal without creating vortices on the surface during rotation. The rotation of the spinning nozzle disperses a large number of fine gas bubbles within the molten metal, which adsorb hydrogen dissolved in the molten metal and remove non-wettable inclusions by floating them to the surface, thus purifying the aluminum melt by forming dross. Additionally, the design of the processing chamber maximizes the retention flow. The SNIF processing chamber has an airtight structure, which minimizes the generation of oxides. Furthermore, it employs electric heaters, allowing it to prevent temperature drops even during casting when the flow rate is low.

The mechanism for degassing aluminum alloys by blowing inert gas into the molten metal involves the diffusion of hydrogen gas in the melt into the inert gas bubbles, which are then removed by floating to the surface. This is based on Sieverts' law, which shows the relationship between the partial pressure of hydrogen gas in the atmosphere and the solubility of hydrogen in the molten metal. Additionally, particles of non-metallic inclusions suspended in the molten metal are captured by a large number of fine inert gas bubbles and removed by floating. The following four points are important for the removal of gas and non-metallic inclusions: 1. Reduce the bubble size. 2. Increase the number (density) of bubbles. 3. Efficiently contact the bubbles with the molten metal in a short time. 4. Avoid generating turbulence on the surface of the molten metal.

EG-135 is a water-soluble graphite release agent for ingot cases and sow molds. It is resistant to metal corrosion from ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including iron, steel, aluminum, copper, zinc, brass, magnesium, and their alloys. It adheres well to metal surfaces and can be applied without repelling on the metal surface even when dipped. Its use in refractory protection is also spreading within Japan.

Pyrotek Pourable Insulation 1100 (PPI1100) is a fire-resistant, pourable insulation material that does not use acids and can be used up to 1100°C. Its unique formulation of fire-resistant materials provides high insulation properties and chemical stability. It mixes easily with water and can be uniformly filled into complex spaces and irregular shapes. There is also a specification available for the glass industry with a heat resistance temperature of 1400°C.

AlSCAN measures the hydrogen gas concentration in aluminum molten metal quickly and accurately over a wide range, providing excellent reproducibility. Over 600 units of AlSCAN have been sold worldwide and it is widely recognized in the industry. The Pyrotech Nanning factory (China) is an ABB-certified AlSCAN service center.

PoDFA analysis involves filtering a specified amount of aluminum molten metal through a very fine porous disk filter under controlled conditions, allowing for the identification and measurement of the contaminants on the filter surface.

The "TENSOR PUMP" ensures stable operation within molten metal by combining a ceramic post with a steel core. It uses a ceramic post with oxidation resistance, allowing for a pump lifespan that is 2 to 3 times longer than conventional models. Pyrocoat MU is a coating agent for refractory materials, primarily composed of aluminosilicate. Due to its unique properties, it becomes soft and smooth during application, and after application, it stays in place without dripping.

Pyrocoat Z3 is a refractory protective coating agent adjusted for aluminum molten metal. It has improved upon the conventional products by reducing severe component sedimentation, making re-mixing easier.

Due to its thixotropic properties, it can be applied smoothly and is designed to minimize dripping after application. The gas injection pipe manufactured by Pyrotech enables more efficient degassing treatment compared to open-end injection pipes (lance pipes). Due to its high processing efficiency, it can reduce the amount of argon or nitrogen gas used for injection. It uses a non-wetting material that is highly durable, with excellent wear resistance and thermal shock resistance, allowing for reduced replacement frequency.

BN coating exhibits non-wettability similar to Teflon against molten non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, zinc, and magnesium. The metal and dross do not react or adsorb with the coating. The "TF Combo Bag" is an aluminum molten metal distributor designed for DC slab casting. The bag is made of glass cloth and is coated with Pyrtek F-100. "Saialon B100" is a ceramic material developed for metal melts, including aluminum. The "RFM Skim Dam" prevents oxides downstream of the downspout from being entrained in the ingot. It can be freely modified in design to match the shape of the ingot. RFM is a robust composite ceramic material with excellent mechanical strength. This material allows for thinner automatic pouring ladles compared to conventional refractory ladles. These ladles are highly wear-resistant and have excellent thermal insulation, possessing outstanding strength despite a material density of 1600 kg/m³. RFM automatic pouring ladles are finished with a BN coating agent in advance. This coating provides excellent non-wettability and enhances the performance of RFM automatic pouring ladles. In trials both domestically and internationally, we have achieved better results compared to existing cast iron ladles and refractory ladles, and they have been adopted by major manufacturers in Japan.

The HD-2000J is a furnace molten metal treatment device that automatically blows in mixed gas and flux through a rotating nozzle into the holding furnace. The HD-2000J features a rotor design that allows for efficient molten metal circulation and degassing, enabling rapid processing and making it very economical. It is designed to be installed near the furnace, but it can also be placed on the side of the furnace depending on the layout. In the standby position, the rotor is completely separated from the furnace and moves into the molten metal during processing. Once fully submerged in the molten metal, it effectively mixes the material. With the HD-2000J, improvements in the quality of aluminum alloys and reductions in running costs can be achieved simultaneously. ● Efficiency of molten metal treatment with fine bubbles generated by the rotating nozzle (removal/reduction of hydrogen gas, alkali metals, non-metallic inclusions, etc.) ● Improvement in metal loss due to suppression of turbulence on the molten metal surface, resulting in reduced dross generation ● Environmental improvement by minimizing odors, smoke, and unreacted gases ● Reduction in processing time due to rapid homogenization of molten metal quality and temperature ● Economic benefits from the reduction of consumables such as gas, flux, and lance pipes

By blowing Promag F into the molten bath, the ability to remove alkali metals (Na and Ca) and the ability to purify the molten bath achieve effects equal to or greater than those of chlorine gas injection. Features ● Fluoride-free and environmentally friendly. No hydrogen fluoride is generated. A karnalite-based flux that does not contain calcium (Ca) or sodium (Na). ● No smoke is generated. Kabaral 18S is a melting flux (Liquid Flux) used for melting fine scrap of aluminum and aluminum alloys (such as aluminum cans, foil, UBC, etc.) that provides covering, oxidation prevention, oxide removal (purification of molten metal), and improves melting yield and melting speed of the scrap. Kabaral 18S forms a stable molten layer that melts at low temperatures without generating heat during processing, creating a stable covering layer that shields the molten metal from the atmosphere, thereby preventing oxidation and hydrogen gas absorption. It simultaneously achieves purification effects, improvements in melting yield, and increases in melting speed. 1. Covering effect to prevent oxide generation and removal effect of decomposed oxides. When added to the surface of the molten metal, Kabaral 18S forms a stable covering layer that blocks the molten metal from the atmosphere, serving the role of oxidation prevention and hydrogen gas absorption prevention (covering). Additionally, it has a powerful cleansing effect that decomposes and adsorbs oxides generated from oils, moisture, and other contaminants on the surface of the fine scrap placed on top, transferring them to the flux layer.

The PyroMold Double NRM series is a thermal insulation fire-resistant material made of aluminum and aluminum alloy that does not contain RCF. It demonstrates extremely excellent non-wettability (good release from the melt) and thermal insulation performance against molten aluminum. Since it does not require curing and can be forcibly dried, construction time can be shortened. It is lighter than molten aluminum and floats on molten aluminum, minimizing the possibility of being mixed as an inclusion within the product.
