In order for our country's fisheries to develop sustainably, it is necessary to quickly and reliably obtain the information needed for resource management, as well as to overcome various challenges faced by the fishing industry, such as predicting fishing grounds amid changes in the marine environment, selective fishing of species, rising feed costs, developing new aquaculture sites, and labor shortages. In this context, the utilization of so-called "smart technologies" such as IT, AI, drones, and robots, which have seen remarkable advancements in recent years, is considered one of the keys to solving these challenges. The Fisheries Agency supports the establishment of information collection systems and the deployment of smart technologies in production sites through initiatives such as the "Smart Fisheries Promotion Project," and will provide a detailed explanation of efforts aimed at the sustainable use of fishery resources and the industrialization of fisheries growth. Our company will hold a business seminar. Hamamatsu City, taking advantage of the merger of 12 municipalities, received the largest regional sewerage project in Shizuoka Prefecture from the prefecture on April 1, 2016. In order to address the challenges of people, goods, and money during the transfer, we considered the introduction of public-private partnership methods, and as a solution to the most significant issue of personnel shortages, we implemented comprehensive private outsourcing at Level 3 for two years from fiscal year 2016 to 2017. Then, starting in fiscal year 2018, we introduced Japan's first concession system for the sewerage project. Now in the seventh year since the introduction of the concession system, the project is progressing smoothly.
